I wrote and directed Thaw My Heart, a comedy drama which focused on the themes of isolation, companionship, and personal growth. I have a soft spot for imperfect characters, so I jumped at the opportunity to right about the transformation of a misanthropic older man into a more likeable and relatable character. I was greatly inspired by the films As Good As It Gets (1997) and Tyrannosaur (2011), particularly drawing inspiration from Melvin Udall. The script was inspired by my own struggles during the lockdown. The film is unique because it blends comedy into the bleak setting of a world gripped by a pandemic. I always had a passion for film, particularly in the areas of compelling storytelling and cinematography. I have aspirations of becoming an established screenwriter so that I can continue writing stories that will hopefully entertain audiences around the world.
